Reiki (ray kee) is derived from two Japanese words. “Rei” meaning spiritual or universal wisdom and “Ki” meaning life force energy. So Reiki is spiritually guided life force energy. This energy is within us and around us.

We have many energy pathways in our bodies, when they are open and balanced we experience health and well being. If physical and emotional stresses cause our energy flows to become sluggish or clogged we may experience ill health, aches, crankiness or a general feeling of being disconnected. 

How Does Reiki Work?

A Reiki practitioner has received training and attunements which accelerates this energy flow. When a person is ready for a treatment it is the practitioner’s task is to align with the needs of the person and establish a healing connection. This allows the energy to be drawn to the areas where it is needed. The practitioner may place hands on various areas of the body, however touching is not necessary for the Reiki to be effective. The divine wisdom within each of us knows what is needed to be healthy, happy and balanced.

Reiki complements all types of medical treatments, surgery, chemotherapy or wound healing. It is deeply relaxing and helps relieve stress, agitation and acute and chronic pain. What is a Reiki Treatment?

A treatment is very relaxing and takes about an hour. Plan to wear comfortable cotton clothes and to lie on a massage table. Aromatic balancing oils and gem stones may be used to enhance the energy flow through the body. The Reiki practitioner will place hands gently over your clothing connecting with various energy centers on the body. Some experience warmth or tingling, often people become so relaxed they fall asleep or into a meditative state.

The healing technique of Reiki (ray-kee) has been utilized for nearly a hundred years.  Many are familiar with the word, but how where did it originate? How does it work? How is it used?

The Reiki that has spread through the world today came forth from a deep spiritual search by a Japanese man, Dr Mikao Usui.  During the early 1900s,through years of research and prayerful meditation he received insight and activations for healing the body and the spirit.  This technique is often referred to as Usui Reiki, or Usui guide to natural healing.

Today, becoming a Reiki practitioner requires a class in the history of Dr Usui and how Reiki evolved, as well as an activation/attunment of energy that opens the current of connection through the chakras to the Divine source of all healing.  The more one practices being in this current the stronger the flow becomes.  This usually leads to more sensitivity in the hands, as well as enhancing ones intuitive ability.  Reiki is a tool that can be combined easily with any other healing method or vocation.

Many have asked about Usui Holy Fire Reiki.  It is an upgraded energy frequency of Reiki given initially in January, 2014 through William Lee Rand, founder of the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT).  It is both powerful and gentle and provides purification, healing, empowerment, focus and guidance.

I meditated on why this was necessary and why, after 20 years of doing Reiki, should I embrace this?  After connecting with my Inner Guidance I was given that William Rand has been devoted to the energy and expansion of Reiki for many years.  He has encouraged hundreds of other Reiki Masters to flourish and has the ability to connect and share this Ascended Frequency of Reiki with many people. 

The name, Usui Holy Fire Reiki was given to William through his spiritual guidance.  He was not looking for a new form of Reiki, but was praying and considering expanding the teaching methods.  The masters answered the call with the creation of  Holy Fire.The Holy Fire Reiki comes directly from the Pure Light of Love, the Christed Light, and is honored and respected by all healers, (Physical or Ascended) and supports those who seek to be of service to humanity.  It is a higher frequency vibration given to assist us with the Ascending energy on the planet.  As we have expanded in consciousness the Masters of Light offered this Holy Fire Reiki to upgrade our vibration and take us even further into creating health and harmony with Creator.
